I have a dear friend who was having this problem she called asking for help.I went to her home and we cut out several quilt tops, now she has several to choose from and is busy getting the baby quilts finished. Hopefuly you have a quilting buddy who can inspire you.

I have been in a slum. I have also been working on organizing my room and don't feel like I am getting anywhere. So I have avoided the sewing room altogether. I am seriously behind finishing one quilt, I am about 8 months behind on a BOM (mental block there), I have not touched my civil war quilt in 8 months, and a QOV that I started a year ago. My sewing room is upstairs and I keep telling myself, I will go up later, I know once I get up there I will stay and do something, it's just getting up the steps.

i keep a few simple blocks cut out & ready to go...that way when i have a day, or month like that i don't have to think about what to work on,..just grab it out of the drawer.. i keep something to piece & something to applique... so i also have a choice.

I just went through a similar experience and a friend came over and handed me pieces to sew and pressed the seams for me when I was finished. It got me going. I am still a newbie working on my first quilt. I was doing a lot of embroidery before Christmas and I think I was afraid to begin the quilt. It is going well now.
