How do YOU stop buying fabrics?

It's so hard.....can't resist a good sale. I only buy on sale....weather I need it or not. It's an addiction.....ok I said it! It could be worst...I'll never use everything I have now, even if I don't buy anything else. Now to take over another clost and get DH to put more shelves. Lol

It is hard but I've decided until I get caught up with lots of works in progress I'm only buying what I need to finish a job. I'm not starting anything new except for my monthly embroidery club and that's educational so I don't want to miss that. I have lots of fabric so this hasn't been hard (lots to me; small compared to others). I've only boughten 2 FQ since before Christmas and some felt for Christmas presents and stabilizer and thread. I also don't go to the store unless I have a reason; no window shopping for me. I only buy my stabilizer at Hancocks on the first 3 Wed of the month to get the additional discount and I buy it by the yard. I agree, it is such an addiction. My daughter hasn't even gotten into heavy duty sewing yet and she has a hard time resisting shopping at the store or in my sewing room.

The other thing is organize. This past yr I got the cubbies book shelves from Walmarts and along with shelves I started pulling out my fabric from totes, etc. I was surprised at the fabric that I had forgotten that I had. I still have more in a closet that someone gave me but my shelves are overrun. I don't have lots of yards of fabric, so no bolts but alot are at least a yrd. I couldn't believe how many things even besides fabric that I had forgotten I had until I started getting organized.

I have the same issue with fabric. I have taken to deleting all incoming sales notifications etc. It helps , as nothing is so compelling as a sale.
This year I have vowed to make some quilts out of larger pieces so the output exceeds the input.
