Just walk around barefooted - JUST KIDDING. I don't know what to tell you. That's happened to me and I just find it later.

After I have tried the magnetic tool and the flashlight approach, I usually get my great niece over (age 10) and she inveritably finds whatever I'm looking for within 5 minutes. She is my secret weapon!

I'm driving through OK this summer with her and we can always stop off and have her look! LOL

Hah - exactly. My husband refuses to even come in my sewing room. :-)

I think I am the queen of lost needles but I usually find them. The last one I lost is still a mystery. I may still find it but am hoping the vacuum managed to find it instead.

Have my husband come over and sit on the quilt, and walk barefoot through the house.

My mother came to make my wedding dress. The best light in the house was in the bathroom. My husband came home from work, took a shower, came out of the shower to find himself standing barefoot (and naked) in a sea of scattered pins. My mother hadn't told him that she spilled the whole container of pins on the floor. He's also good at sitting on pins on the quilts I make.

JanieH... I HOPE I've found the needle by then... but you should stop by!! If you're driving through OK, you'll probably be traveling on I-40, and we're right on I-40! Clinton is about 90 miles west of OKC... No kidding! It will be time for a quick rest stop by then!

And to all of my fellow needle-and-pin-searchers, THANK YOU!! I'm still looking... widening the search, too... love hearing from all of you!!
