One of the reasons I prefer the simpler vintage machines. No buttons to remember to push! :-)

And I am called "Stitchnripper" because I am intimately familiar with all my seam rippers.

I have a post-it stuck on mine to remind me to reset the needle position when I turn the machine on. I have a Janome 6600

This brings up a good question. A matter of preference I suppose. What is the correct way to use a seam ripper?

I like the Jack the Ripper line!

I aso use my ripper family for a stileto and removing PP paper. I don't rip out seams, I un-sew them! It "seams" kinder :D

Peace to all

I even learned how to sharpen my seam rippers! They got so much use.

Since I use the 1/4" foot with a flange I don't use it so much anymore.
