I do when it is slow, I actually keep it minimized and then check it out when I can. By the time I get home at night I am too tired to check it out unless I have a question that I know can be solved by searching the board or asking questions. I work M-F and love the weekend when I can just spend a few hours looking and learning.

I should add that my employers are OK with me being on other sites, as long as I get my work done....which I do! :) I check here when I have 'free' time.

Yes, I am on here when I'm at work. Don't get me wrong, I do my work. But when I have any spare time....I'm on the board.

This is really not on the topic, but it does have to do with the children. I was in two schools doing contract work (testing) that a team of retired teachers do 3 times during the school year. It was so great being with the little ones and seeing how much they've progressed during the year. Working and being with children IS the best -- whether it's at home or at work.
And yes, I am tired!! But I'll be ready to return on Monday.

There is just too much work to do. Recently I've been putting in extra hours - the extra hours are unpaid. So if I surfed at work, it would cut into my "personal" time even more.

Having said that - very occasionally I might check watched threads while eating lunch at my desk. So that might take 5 minutes, but I feel dreadfully guilty doing that.

if you are at work and you are on line doing non work related things it is theft of time. period....

and if you worked for me, you would be terminated immediately upon discovery of that...no questions, and i don't care how good at your job you were.

i'm not paying anyone to play on line...
