I so know how you feel. I was helping my dgs sew a potholder.....now hard can that be??? I ripped it out 3 times. My dgs was working on it, but it the seams were going all over.....my walking foot wasn't feeding correctly, any way....to make a long story short...I cleaned the machine....after ripping the seams out 3 times...did I mention I was going to turn the potholder, but put the batting in the middle..UGH...How can a very simple project be so hard!!!!????????

I was working on simple BOM from my LQS, super simple with HST and some flying geese units. First I mess up my up on orientation of HST twice, then I sew on a flying geese unit backwards. At one point I had to wind a bobbin and I cut the top thread, wound the bobbin, put it in and proceeded to sew until the 6 inches of thread on the top ran out.
I was cutting a Lil Twister wreath project, had it all laid out on my cutting table. Went to move some fabric and created enough of a breeze to blow off some of the blocks and now I can't figure out how to get it back the right way.
I tried cutting some strips for a very simple swap block I was working on, and for some reason turned my ruler around and cut them 3" instead of 3.5".
I decided it was time to stop with the quilty projects and sit back with my knitting. So I am knitting on a sock that I have been working on for a while and totally forgot to do one part of the pattern and didn't figure it out until I was four rows past that point.
Sat down here to read the list for a while and look at pretty pictures, and promptly spilled my tea all over the computer desk.
I was thinking of reading but I will probably get a lethal paper cut.....
Sounds like you have had a Very Bad, Horrible Day, and should just sit and watch t.v. for a while, or go to bed and start over tomorrow. I'm sure tomorrow will be much better. I hate days like this. Sorry things went wrong.

I call that bad juju. Have a piece of chocolate, look at some patterns or browse through this board or other quilt sites. Tomorrow is another day, Scarlet.

Ya know our mom's always told us there would be days like this and now you know she wasn't kidding.

Relax, take a break and come back later, I'm sure everything will back on tract.

Seasaw is right. My momma said there would be days like this, there would be days like this my momma said. I have many more than she warned me about. I was working on a block last week that I ended up putting together wrong & had to take it apart FOUR times before I got it right. It wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't put it together the same way all four times. I ended up walking away from it for several hours & went back & finally got it right.

I have to agree. Yesterday I was (supposedly) finishing the last row on a quilt. Molly (furbaby) kept sitting on it and meowing. I shooed her away a couple of times but she just kept coming back. I should have listened to her!

When I was about 1/3 done with the row, my bobbin ran out of thread. When I pulled the quilt away from the presser foot, I noticed that I had caught the extra battiing and sewed it over the backing! I quit! I did some cleaning and made an appointment to get my hair cut :?
Today I spent time with Ricky Ripper taking out those rows of quilting I had done and refilled my bobbin. I think I will listen to Molly better next time. :|
