How many machines do you have?

I just have one, a Brother LS2350 that my son bought me for Christmas last year. It's just an inexpensive and basic little machine that does straight and ziz-zag, but I've made 4 quilts on it now and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. When the budget allows, I want to get the Brother CS6000i. That's my next "upgrade".

I have 6 Vintage Machines (which includes 1 FW) + a Bernina 320, a Juki 98, a Janome 350E embroidery machine, the Black Singer 125th Anniversary machine & a Babylock Serger with the Air Threading system. I use ALL of them on a regular basis except the Vintage machines. Too many, never !!!!!

I love all my machines and can't part with them to trade in when I buy a new one. I have the following:
Janome MC 8000
Janome MC 9000
Janome MC 11,000
Viking #1+ (several Vikings because I worked for a Viking Dealer, with my empl. discount)
Viking Designer 1
Viking Designer SE
Viking Designer Diamond Deluxe
Brother 300 PE (12 lbs. for carry to classes)
Singer Featherweight
Singer Treadle (inherited from grandma)
AND 2 SERGERS: Viking 2003 and Favorite Babylock Evolution Serger
I know! Sounds crazy but they all have their own personality and do different things. And to trade them in on a new machine, they only give you peanuts when you have invested so much. Better in my pocket than the dealer's pocket!

Don't fall into the Sewing Machine Trap. The trap is surrounded by reviews, suggestions, hype, etc. If truth be told, you only need one machine. It must have a straight stitch and a zigzag stitch. You can make anything with JUST those two stitches-quilts and clothing, and home decor, etc.. Having said that, I have two machines, a brother sewing machine and a serger. I have everything I need. I have had more machines but I still really only used two - sewing machine and serger. I want an embroidery machine, but I want the deluxe not a stripped down version, so I wait and I save. I guess I could use a machine that was more portable and maybe one with a bigger throat for my quilting.....HELP! HELP! I'M BEING SUCKED IN BY THE TRAP!!! PULL ME OUT, FOR HEAVENS SAKE, PULL ME OUT BEFORE I BUY AGAIN.....LOL!

Amen sister. I have Helen, my grandmothers 201-3, a 70's all metal Kenmore, an 80's three thread babylock serger, and newer 4 thread Janome serger, a brother 9000SE for fancy stitches, and older Singer that uses cams, 80's model and a 1911 White Rotary Tredel. And I see my friends have a good looking singer Red Eye at and estate sale this weekend coming up and I "can't" have it, no place to put it. But I would if I could, so will keep dreaming and looking for a featherweight I really want too.
