I have two. My Bernina 1530 is my traveling sewing machine and then I have a Bernina 830 that is very heavy so I leave it @ home unless I am taking classes for it. :D

I have 3 sewing machines, a serger and a Tin Lizzie 18 LS.
I am now in the process of redoing my sewing room to make it more efficient.

Gave my dil a National in a cabinet for my grandson to ssew

I have 2 machines just in case one breaks down which has happened and that what prompted me to get the second on from an old friend who doesn't sew anymore.

You might look on line for information to fix your machine. My husband finds lots of instruction manuals online. Good luck.

I have 3, 1 I use for regular sewing and another for quilting then I have one that is strictly an embroidery machine. Yes, it helps to have a backup.
