Your supposed to use pins?? No wonder I am having a hard time quilting. Can't be bothered with pins!
But seriously, I like the magnets for those in use. I use altoid tins for keeping different types separate and for travel purposes.

I have to keep my pin cushion hid in a drawer all the time as my cat George well not leave it alone. If he can find it he pulls all the pins out of it with his mouth drops them all over the floor and the table. He just has a ball everytime he can find it so I am always going to the drawer for it when I want to use it.What a messie cat he is but i love him.Handquilter

Someone said their grandmother had made a pin cushion out of pine straw and I immediately thought of mine. My grandmother made mine when she was probably in her 80's. She passed away in 1974 when she was 100 years old. I'm going to try and post a picture.

I hang mine out of reach of my cat Keishi, as he does the same. I'm one of those people that doesn't wear footwear indoors and regularly step in them. Hurts! A lot! :-(

I love the pin cushions. Oh please somebody stop me. One obsession at a time. My house is rather small.
