Self taught, but I've sewn all my life. My mother and grandmother were quilters so I guess it's in the blood. My two sisters are also quilters!

Never took a class, I learned hands on, trial by error and lots of ripping seams in frustration.
Although I am a Seamstress by trade doing Upholstery and sewing my kids clothes.

I'm self taught, well, friend taught. Had been quilting for 8 years before taking my first class, which was a free motion class.

Simply Quilts was my Classroom also for the entire time it was on TV. I would grab my coffee and notepad and record it every morning. I have also learned a great deal from reading on this wonderful forum! I feel badly for not joining much sooner but I do Thank all of you, for any & all valuable knoweldge you have shared on here. Other than here & Simply Quilts & books, I am self taught.
