I belong to a small quilt club(10) and we make quilts for needy purposes, like raffles for food pantry, someone who has had a fire, loss in the family and etc. We make all queen size. We have been told the raffle tickets sell better if it is a queen size. Personally I don't know. We are non-profit. At our last meeting we discussed contacting hospitals and see what their need is. It makes me feel good.

I have made 3 kings, 2-3 queens and some wall hangings that were more than 7 or 8 feet square - Talk about heavy while you are quilting. most othe largest ones I pay to have done on by a LAQ - but I am going to taCkle my next king AND TRY THE QUILT-AS YOU GO METHOD it has got to be easier . . .

All my quilts are twin or larger, don't have room for wall hangings.

I like making lap quilts or smaller quilts. We are empty nesters, with one queen size bed in the house, ours, lol, so don't need them for other beds. The big ones are just too expensive, for us anyhow, to keep making, then giving away. So a lap size or table quilts, wall hangings, & smaller ones, work great for me. Love it too, cause they don't take so darn long to make!
