i don't know why- just me being weird probably but i HATE making small quilts!
it's like pulling teeth for me to take an hour and put together a baby/kids quilt---just don't get into it- but queens/kings- a dozen going at once---all the time.
i get a call-so & so is having a baby and my innards just quake---oh no- now i have to make another little quilt.
last year i did the doll quilt swap which was great- i loved it- thought it would help me get over my weirdness- but -- didn't work that way for me- i enjoyed making them - sort of---but
i think i will just stick to big quilts- i have become better about my ability to be motivated to work on twins and larger- so i am (getting better) i guess

My favorite is my 15 block quilt. Three across five down - 12" block with 2" sashing and 4" border. Comes out to 52x80 and lays on top of a double bed. I call it a coverlet. Bigger than a lap quilt, smaller than a twin size, just neat for curling up with when you lay on a bed without messing up the bed or curling up in a big chair or laying down on a couch.
Everyone I have given the quilt to love the size. You can fold it up and take it with you, whatever! Edie

I do all sizes. Just finished 3 Cal. Kings 1 for guild raffle, 2 for daughters. All kids have several of all sizes. Many lap for gifts for church and charity plus each grandchild has a bed quilt and each great-grand has at least 2 lappy/wrappy quilts. Plus I do purses, tablerunners, placemats, wallhangings and anything else that looks fun. I am 70 & retired with enough income to keep me in fabric. lol
