I guess I am just a quilt hoarder!!! I am on my 70th quilt in three years and have only given about 15 baby quilts to grandkids and a few to friends. I have given two queen size quilts to one friend (one as wedding gift and one Auburn T-shirt quilt), one twin for granddaughter's dorm room, one queen to grandson as wedding gift, four double size to daughter and granddaughters. The remaining 40+ are on two quilt racks and wire shelves and on closet shelves in one bedroom, on one quilt rack in my bedroom, stacked up on a stool in other bedroom, stacked five high on chair in living room, and five more rolled up in basket in the den. Yes, I am a HOARDER but I'm so attached to them all I can't part with them. One day they can be divided between three daughters and ten grandchildren.

Quilting and quilting forums are very addictive -- who wants to vacuum and dust? It is a fun hobby.

I used to have a stash of quilts finished and waiting for homes till my family found out about it. Now they are given as soon as they are finished, unless my DH asks for one specifically. He's nabbed on to 2 of them so far this year. haha

I just finished counting and of the 87 that I have completed, 46 are still in my house. Since I have given about 7 to my husband Jim, I count them as well. I did not realize until this thread, that I have given so many away. Now if I start counting the UFO's....the number goes up.

I've given away quite a few, but they are starting to stack up around my house. I usually make exactly what I want to make, so if I think someone else will like it, I give it to them. But sometimes I just like them and am not quite willing to let them go. I can think of 12 that I have made for others, plus a few auction quilts, but there are another 7 or 8 currently being used or just hoarded by me, with about 3 more currently in production, 1 which will be added to my personal collection. It's been just about 2 years since my first quilt.

I have 18 right now but all are Christmas gifts for family this year. I lost track of the number at 500 I have made. have 3 that I use all others were gifts or charity . Love seeing the finished product and I know the family and friends enjoy them. What they do with the quilt is up to them..

I have given several of my quilts away as gifts to friends and family. I love to quilt too so I am making a pile of them and have set them aside for charity quilts, not sure yet where they will go. It can almost break your heart when you work really hard on a quilt, give it to someone and then they treat it differently than you like. I gave a beautiful quilt to a dear friend who loved it and then put it on the guest bed so her brother could use it when he visits. I expect he will take it home someday knowing him. Dogs have chewed two quilts that I gave to DD, so far, none have become dog beds, yet.......

Hi I'm Sue and I am a quiltaholic I have been a member for years and love to read this board everyday. Look forward to it actually! I must quilt everyday (addiction). I must have at the very least 100 quilts in my home. I do donate quilts to whomever needs one. Vets, Foster care. need to find more in need. This is my first time posting. I feel like I know most of you, keep up the great work for us quilters. Thanks much.

I've made about 25 quilts, each was made and given to a specific person. The only one in the house, I made for the hubby. Soon, I'll make one for me, LOL
