I have made 3 Vintage Moments quilts by Marsha McCluskey. One for each of my 3 girls.

I'm one of those people who likes to do a pattern 4 or 5 times in a row, using different fabrics, different placement and then I'm usually done with it. The D4P and tube quilt are a few. The D9P, I've probably made a dozen for a charity group I quilt with. It's just one of those patterns that look much harder than they really are and work up fast when you need it to.

I'm on my 7th trip around the world (all are postage stamp size). And I've made more log cabins and courthouse steps than I remember. I, too, tend to tire of a pattern, but there's a few I keep going back to if I need something in a hurry or am making charity quilts.

When I find a pattern I like I use it over and over. They become reliable knowhows and work up fast. I love TATWorld, Drunkards Path, and any pattern that can have multiple lay out designs like Barn Rasing. If one block can be arranged in so many different ways, just think of the possiblities! Remember, not all baby quilts have to be eye spy patterns. You could use all those great object pieces and make a scrappy 9 patch, for example!

I make a lot of quilts for charity-kids and soldiers. If I find a pattern I like and it goes together quickly I'll make several playing with different colors and layouts of the blocks.

I don't really want complex time consuming blocks. I get annoyed easily.

Sometimes easy is the best way to go!

Simple 9 patches are still a favoite of mine. You can so so much with them. I'm currently working (when I find the time) on an all blue and white one. :)

I love the rail fence and the D9P. I've made several of each pattern.

Dresden Plate and Sunbonnet Sue patterns are the ones I have used the most. There is always a variation because I don't enjoy making the exact same quilt more than once
