I've made several Take 5 and I always have a Yellow Brick Road in progress. Sometimes I just want to sew and not be too challenged with new techniques.

I have made 7 or 8 carpenter star quilts. Maybe more than that. I love to make them they are so fast and easy. Of course when you make that many they naturally are easy.

D9P, Log cabin, Morning Star, Chinese Coins, 9 Patch, Simple pinwheels are some of the pattens I have made many times, sometime for kids, men, women and or babies, just vary the fabrics and sometimes the size of the blocks.

Working on a one time pattern and it going really slow as I'm so used to zipping through the blocks named above. May in Jersey

I do colour wash quite a lot,in between other things. Luckily, I've not tired of it yet as I try a different pattern with it each time.

I'm with you ... and sometimes with new fabrics and combination the pattern is brand new. See my photo <-- ... Pagoda; made many many and I never tire. Another is Yellow Brick Road and Cheese and Crackers, both by Terri Atkinson. I have also made numerous Irish Chains, Winning Hand and Log Cabins. I have enjoyed Four Patch Posies a few times.

Come to think of it - the fabric is my challenge and delight, not the pattern.
