This is my method too! I have tried to 'work' through illness, end up wasting lots of fabric by cutting it wrong, cutting the wrong color for the pattern, cutting the fabric that happens to creep and hide under what I am cutting....

Like many of you, I can't sew when I'm sick. I have to feel good and be in the mood. I do hope you feel better soon and thanks for sharing your project with us.

Sew when I'm sick? Right now, I can't even seem to find the energy to sew when I'm not sick......I've been so blessed to never have had the flu, but I've had some severe throat infections before that the dr. always lumps into the category of "pharyngitis". Nasty stuff......don't dare to sew when I have that! You are so thoughtful to be doing a charity quilt at this time, hope you get over the flu soon.

Ugh, sorry you are sick, when I get the flu I roll up in a ball under a ton of quilts and withdraw from the world for at least 4-6 days. I don't get sick often but when I do I do it up good. I can't get enough sleep and can't sleep because of the aches, chills, sweats - see I told you I do it up right. The only thing I want is for my hubby to check on me every couple of hours and bring me fresh cold ginger ale or 7up. Unfortunately I wouldn't be up to quilting or even thinking about it, I don't know how you make the fabulous blocks you've made, so pretty - waiting patiently to see it finished!

When I'm sick I don't do much at all. I can't do flu shots. I've had 3 flu shots in my life and not another if I can help it. I got so sick by the time I got home. Love your quilt by the way.

If I quilt when I am feeling bad then I will end up using my seam ripper.. Same with crocheting or crafting !
So its TV, extra blankets, soups add jalapenos, teas with lemon and honey (and a wee bit of the stuff before bed <wink> LOL).
I call it my pity time .. LOL

So sorry you have the flu - hope you feel better soon. For make, heading to my sewing machine is always good for a pick me up. Beautiful fabrics and colors. Should make a gorgeous quilt.
