Not wierd at all, I have just the metal legs with footpedal base, and DH made a drop leaf table for me in my craft room.

A few years ago, 4-H members here were refinishing old sewing machine cabinets to use as lamp tables, removed all the sticky finish and did lots of sanding, the tables looked lovely. piecefully, the old one

I purchase evey set of treadle legs I find, they have so many uses. I also purchased two tables made from them. One is a work table in my small kitchen and the other is used as a desk. I am thinking about using a set I have in my bathroom to hold my washbasin.

I found one in my alley 25yrs ago and put a piece of marble on top of it. Now is a table. The only thing I don't like about it is all the dust it collects on the metal. I have to vacuum it with a soft brush.

I have one my husband put a top on and it is a good place for your cutting mat and it is a bit decorative also, I have room enough in my sewing room to have that and my reg. cutting table.
