In this economy anything to make a buck, I guess. Or I should say 100's of them. The things you see on Craig's list sometimes amaze me.

I'd be interested in knowing if she gets someone to pay that price for them. For Pete's Sake, it's totally ridiculous! Even if it were original paper from the 30's, it'd be so fragile, you couldn't handle it for the most part.

i wonder what their appraised value would be if the were examined by a professional.
for that price i would demand something in writing from a certified appraiser.

i am wholly unqualified to share an opinion.
i have never understood why people pay premium prices for old, used stuff.

antique shmantique.
that's just really old and used. LOL

still, if it makes them happy ...
as long as "they" don't ask me to pay for it i say "to each her own."

Craigslist motto -- "I can dream, can't I?"

BTW, Lemoyne Star was sometimes called Lemon Star - I have seen that before.

Yeah I'm thinking he meant 1.00 not 100. To be honest I LOVE my new tools (ie rotary cutter) and the quick methods of putting things together that we have today. It might be worth a gander if price typo just to see if there are any patterns you have never seen and might be interested in. If they are close, and that's a typo. Sooo many mags. now a days with more patterns than I can do in my lifetime. As it is by Bucket List has a Bucket List of it's own.

Some people think the things that they have are made of gold. There is no way those patterns are worth that kind of money. You can get those patterns free on the internet. Things are only worth what someone else is willing to pay, and I would be surprised is someone pays that for old patterns (if they are really old). jmho

It looks like some of them have "yellowed" over time, but as for being originals, it seems like the paper would fall apart if you tried to unfold and use the patterns. Unfortunately, a lot of people think "old" is antique and charge accordingly. They may just be part of someone's collection and not that old at all. I would be curious to know if someone actually buys them.
