Default How would you quilt this?

This meaures 54x54

Just wondering how people would quilt it?

I do have an quilting / embroidery machine ... Just looking for ideas ... this is where I totally bomb out and run out of creativity!

Thanks so much

Don't have any ideas on how to quilt it, but it's beautiful.

I might consider stippling in the borders, and inside surrounding the center. Leave the paper piecing pieces alone.

Gorgeous quilt! I always have trouble trying to decide how to quilt my projects. Hope you show us the finished project when you are done. Good luck with it.

Your quilt is amazing! I'm not great at coming up with quilting designs, but since there is a fairly large area of the leaf fabric, I would consider echoing the paper piecing designs in it. I would ditch the lines between sections, but not necessarily all the paper pieced triangles and spikes (I don't have the patience for that!).

I put figure 8's in the border, but if you can stipple or do some other fill, that would certainly work as well. I didn't draw it in, but I would stipple the parts of the leaf fabric in the middle that aren't in the echoed arches.

Whatever you do, I'm sure it will look great!

Edit: That picture didn't come out as clear as I had hoped, but hopefully you can make out my red lines. If not, let me know, and I can make them thicker and repost.

Jennifer 23 and I are on the same page--the ghost quilting of the pp designed would be great. On the border I'd like to see the ghosting continue with the design of the pp compass.

Your quilt is awesome. Sorry I can't help you with the quilting part.

I like Jennifer's idea for the interior. Only in the outer border I'd do clam shells instead of the loopy line (or if you want a larger design, then Baptist fans).
