Congratulations...(green with envy). I rent an HQ Avante for my quilts at a LQS and love it...as another member posted, it is user friendly. Enjoy!

If you can possibly bite another bullet, I highly recommend attending the class in Salt Lake City. You'll come away from it with enough confidence to try just about anything.

I've had my Avante for 2 years now and love it as well. The set up was easy enough that my husband and I did it with no problems. My only advice is to make sure you set the frame high enough. It needs to be higher than you would think. Right now I still need to have my husband raise mine another 3 inches. I am looking forward to attending the Handi-Quilter Academy in June this year for the first time.

Congratulations, you will love it. I would recommend you look at MK Quilts. She does online classes and has a facebook group she give tips on all the time.
I went to Utah and found it to be too much information at once.
Feel free to email me with any questions.
