Thank you so much to the quilters who have responded to my situation about looking for a long arm. We are "leaning" towards a HandiQuilter Fusion with the computer. Does anyone have any pros or cons on this machine?????

I love my Avante - I do not have the computerized machine - but I use groovy boards, pantos, and lots of free-motion quilting. I love it.

handi quilter is a great company to deal with- i have no local (tech support/maintenence) so do everything long-distance with customer support/tech support- they have been great! the customer service people are knoweledgable, friendly - help in a timely manner and have been wonderful....
and i have not had many problems- when i first got my machine set up i had problems with the tension- they talked me through troubleshooting on the phone- and within a few minutes the machine was running wonderfully! when my mother board went out 1/2 way through a wedding quilt with a deadline- i about had a heart attack! hubby verified what the problem was- i got on the phone to Utah (i live in michigan)((after 5 years and alot of quilting hours)
within a couple minutes the tech also verified the problem- offered me a (refurbished mother board-the computer brains) at an excellent price- i was afraid i would need to come up with ALOT of $$- turned out $100 even- they even overnight drop shipped it to me---called them wednesday evening- was quilting again by friday!
i am very happy with my HQ- and the company behind it
