    Default HQ Sure Foot

Just installed the HQ sure foot. Was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Did not have to make any internal adjustments to the machine. Was fretting about that. Anyway, put the foot on and what a difference using the rulers. So glad I made the investment.

Glad you are finding it easier with your new foot. Quilting with rulers seems to have really taken off. I wish they were not so expensive.

For straight line quilting I had a glass shop cut me a 3"x12" piece of plexiglass. I drew ruler markings on a piece of template plastic and taped it to the plexiglass. It cost me less than half the price of a ruler.

What makes it so much easier to use with rulers than the regular foot? I saw the video but would like to hear from your experience.

Oh, Yes! I was trying to use the Westalee Circle tool without the Sure Foot, and broke a needle, took a couple chunks out of my ruler and decided I needed the foot. It really does make a difference!

The sure foot is taller than the regular foot and will not get caught under the foot. Much easier to use the rulers.

It's a lot taller so more stability for the ruler imho
