The white would be very pretty and make your blocks sort if float and ease into each other. But what about a black, or black on black print like some of your white? it would frame all of your blocks and make each one stand out on its own. If that's too stark maybe use your hst's or white blocks as cornerstones.
Either way would be really pretty.
Ps I love your blocks and colors.

I think your idea is just terrific. What a wonderful sampler quilt it will be. I'm not sure what direction I would go with the sashing - would probably work it up in EQ and see what different options would look like, but I do like the ideas so far.

It depends on what defination you want for the blocks. Darker colors (more solid look) will give good framing while lighter gives em[hasis to the blocks. I tend to go for the darker more solid look.
So ask yourself what defination you want for the blocks and then go from there. My tastes might be different than yours.
Do you really want "the most answers for one type wins"? I don't think so as it is your house or place in which it will be used and not mine.
My question would have been" I want the blocks to stand alone in this quilt. Which sashing color do you think will achieve that look. On the other hand - a dark color will define each block while a medium might unify all the blocks.

oooOOooo...I like OnTheRiver's first one with the color box around each block.
If you did that it would pull those colors in the block, pump them up one more level of interesting.
setting them on point also ramps up the eye interest.
Well done, great sampler.
edited to add: I just saw this quilt with black and white sashing, see how it gives a little pyramid effect? Cool
