I was going to say pinwheels, then I saw Peckish's beautiful blue blocks, then I saw the one QuiltnNan asked about and I have totally changed my mine. I love the corn and beans but that's definitely above my skill level so I'm going to choose the Depression Block in blues as my favorite HST pattern. ( at this moment that is)

Ahhh, Jan, thanks for posting that Pinterest group. I have so many lefover HST's and will now be putting them to use in small quilts/doll quilts. I save all HST's that I can via Bonnie Hunter style. Why waste them?

I need to pick one for a scrappy and one using just two colors. Thanks so much for your help. Here is the one I'm considering making. It is called Jewel Box.
Most of the patterns by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts are made with HST's. I recently did one from her book Friendship Triangles called Criss Cross that used them. She designs fabric for Moda as well. I love her designs. She has lots of batiks and cottons.
