    Smile Hubbies who quilt!

For those of you ladies who have husbands who quilt and share your hobby/passion, I am jealous! My DH is very good with many things, yet sometimes I wish that he quilted! I also have been envious of those mother/daughter/sister teams. Must be such fun to shop together!!!
We all have our blessings, those just are not mine.

I am blessed with good quilting pals. We shop and go and do all quilting things together. I prefer my DH not to be involved in my quilting.

I, too, am blessed with quilting buddies... can't even imagine DH quilting!! It's not going to happen (short of a brain transplant...) What I wish for, however, is that we'll move the "big tv" upstairs from the basement to our living room. That way I'm only one floor away from him when I'm quilting (in my sewing room upstairs...) As it is, we call each other on the cell to talk!! ha ha....

I have been blessed to find a good sewing buddy, we go to shows and classes together and share. My husband likes to go to Hancocks of Paducah with me to find material (so that is a plus). He supports my hobby and gives me plenty of praise - but he doesn't want to play with anything more than that. Thank God for friends with like interests!!!

He doesn't quilt and I don't hunt! That being said, if there were lobsters running wild in the woods, I just might be tempted to go over to the dark side. Hubby knows his way around a sewing machine. He has designed and made several of his own ice fishing tents and did a wonderful job. We do share a common area. My so-called sewing room is decorated with deer horns, his gun cabinet and his fly tying bench. Seldom are we occupying it simultaneously. Seriously, he is so good mathematically and with machinery, he would make a wonder LAQer.

My DH is my book keeper. Thank God as I could never balance a check book. He does the gardening and I quilt..... Oh well I play with the fabric. We go to Mass together but I go alone to my prayer group. We share the dog.... Hugs

Smickchick like you I have no husband, children or parents. Other quilters I meet all are blessed with lovely ndividuals in these areas.
Do you also feel isolated from a world you know nothing. I do . I tend to leave it to quilting colleagues to get in touch with me because I am concerned about interrupting their family times.

Patchwork and quilting has been my life saver. I really enjoy and spend time everyday doing some at some time. I also enjoy hand piecing or hand applique. Busy hand and mind keep me happy.

Beautiful quilts feeling soft material an curling up in a soft quilt I made.

My Husband has no attention to detail. He does not quilt, sew, he is best with yard work and such. We spend most f the week together, except for about 10 hours. I can go to my sewing room and be by myself for several hours. Just a room away.
