I like the blackmail picture idea the best. Don't you just love it when someone "borrows" your stuff without asking? It drives me nuts. I liked the one idea of painting the handles of our tools bright dayglow orange or pink and they wouldn't be caught dead with them. I have this huge cutting table mat that, unfortunately, is currently too big for any table in our apt., however, I had to snatch it away from hubby when he wanted to cut it up and put it under something to protect the rug. No way Jose!!! He has a fit if I borrow something of his, so I now have acquired screwdrivers, scissors, etc. so he can't accuse me of taking them without permission. Men.

I recently used my cutting mat, ruler and rotary cutter to do the very same thing... that window film was so easy to square up and cut!

Joe hasn't taken over my quilting tools. Not yet. I think he knows better.

No, he doesn't use my quilting tools but every once in awhile, I buy a tool for myself--a small hammer, a little pair of pliers--something small enough for me to handle. He scoffs, makes a little fun (gentle fun, not mean) and then, a few weeks later, I'll find him "borrowing" my tools from my tool drawer. Seems there are uses for small hammers, rubber mallets, etc., even if you're a great big he-man. Men are funny.

My DH loves to borrow my machine repair tools as they are much handier to find than his. I have to go around getting them back, periodically.

The only thing my hubby uses of my quilting tools are the clamps, but he knows to put them back where he found them. although I have two sets I usually don't miss them because the one set I always use is in my quilting room downstairs.
