I'm looking at buying a D1 or SE. Not sure which will suit me better, I have an Iris now. Does the SE have all the sewing goodies of the D1. What size hoops will the SE take.
Any other advise?
thanks

I'm not familiar with the D1. I have a D2 and an SE. I love my D2 for quilting, but my SE is so much easier for embroidery. I love my SE, and I have many friends that traded "up" for a Diamond. They have since regretted it. A couple of them when back and bought their SE's back. It's a wonderful machine. If you can get your hands on one, go for it.
I have the Single Mega Hoop for mine. It's something like 150 x 360. I think that's the biggest hoop that can be used.

The D1 is the first of Vikings fancy machines, have one of those, the SE , the Topaz 30 and the Diamond. I love them all. Why would anyone return the Diamond? Don't understand that..
