I have the same addiction. I had to run and get some stuff today for a project I am doing. I was told to buy very minimal amounts. I left the store spending less than $6.00 I didn't even take time to look at all the fabrics like I normally would.

I have it too!! it has got me into trouble before. I always have trouble mentioning my shopping spree to my DH. I have 2 BOM ,so every month there is $30 at least, he doesn't know about. I have been trying to be good,by staying home and use my stash.
I started to shop from my own stash. you would be surprised what you find "just had to have fabric" stuffed somewhere in a bag.

THank goodness for my DH. He always says buy what you want. However I am the frugel one in this family and he knows that. I tend to control myself sometimes to the point I wish I had spent more. But next week I am going on a shopping spree with the $$ I got for Christmas. Look-out Quilt shop here I come HeHe. Marge

#1: Tell him. It'll be a lot easier than carrying it longer and then having to 'get caught" or have to fess up.Come on, you can do it. Present your case.
#2. Yes, I have an addiction. So the only thing I can do is just not go in there. When I go in for thread, etc. I really have to do some talking to myself to be sure that I come out with only what I go in to buy. (Although I do weaken sometimes, but I'm getting better.) I try to remember all the pieces that I bought and still have in bags or in drawers or in bins, or in closets...you get my drift.

Honey, I feel your pain. My friend and I went fabric shopping a couple of weeks before Christmas and both of us bought much more than we had intended on spending. Well, when I pulled in her drive to drop her off home. She let out a Whoopee! He's not home! I can sneak my bag into my sewing room. I had to laugh and I said, Well, I know my husband is golfing and he won't be home for a couple more hours. Well, when I pulled into my drive, who is sitting at the table under the carport but my DH. I thought fast and shoved my bag under the seat of my car to be retrieved after my husband had left for his weekly card game that evening......They just don't understand how fabric calls to us, do they? BTW, I have my own money and don't really know why I hide things from him, but I do.

What a wonderful addiction to have!!! I know that I have an addiction also...just no money to feed the addiction :( Oh well...times will get better. (luckily for me...no credit cards to worry about.) No cash...no fabric. I did get lucky tho...Mom has decided to give me her scraps that I can play with. Not many, but anything at this point is better than what I had which is :( nothing. Have fun with our type of addictions :) :D
