I feel so stupid about my hand quilting frame
#1
Well, this is the second quilt that I put in my new quilt grace ez3 hand quilting frame. The first time I loaded just as the directions stated. When I got to the end I was short about 6 inches on the batting. So on the second one I decided that I would pin the batting longer than the top. Well I am near the end of the second one and guess what I pinned the top and batting opposite of what I intended. I am about six inched short again on the batting. So I have to sew an extension on the batting in order to finish the quilt again. Boy do I feel stupid. Hopefully I will get the hang of this on the third quilt in the frame. I just do not know what I am doing wrong. The directions on loading the frame has you pinning the top and batting even. That just does not work. So if anyone can help me with this dilema I would be so greatful.

I have that frame, although I don't use it anymore, no room. Never had a problem with batting. I did, however, always load more backing and batting than what it called for. Added at beginning and end. Just for insurance.
By the way, I lived in Clemmons, actually Lewisville, for years. Rennymeade Acres sound familiar.
