Default "Stop for Safety Purposes!"

That's what both my new Janome 7700 and my year old 6600 told me last night! I was piecing some minky-bonded faux suede and the machines were getting a little stressed out at times. I put in a new needle, but I didn't stop! I did finish my project, though.

My guess is there is some serious lint in the bobbin area.

It does happen when you pull the fabric. It really is not because of the bobbin area. i do know if the bobbin area gets really bad the machine will not sew at all.

It happened when I was sewing through too many thicknesses. The needle looked like it was trying to drill through all the polyester suede and minky. I do need to check for lint. I still had some in my hair this morning!
