I love my rotating matt also. As for making flying geese, I hope you have a "wing clipper" ruler. It is fantastic for squaring up those flying geese. There is another flying geese ruler out there but I have found the wing clipper to be the better of the two. Good luck!

I have the 12 & 6 inch ones. Remember if you get a larger one, it takes more room for it to revolve. If I have a larger piece of fabric still attached to what I'm cutting, I just carefully lay it on the board before I turn it. Now that I have them, I don't think I could quilt without them!

I love mine. I keep it beside my machine for squaring up blocks and for cutting strips.

I, too thought it would be a "luxury" item & probably not used very often. Much to my surprise, I use mine a lot & have never regretted buying one. It turns fairly easily & doesn't move when cutting, even though it does not "lock" into place. A good purchase, overall.

Thank you for that. I am amazed that so many sewers and crafters drool at the idea that Walmart will once again have fabric. No one remembers that they put in fabric once before causing many LQS to close. Then they pulled out leaving all of us that depended on them high and dry. I will never be in that position again. Unfortunatly, many quilters are once again shopping Wal-mart and the LQS are again having to close.

Love mine too. They will make squaring up your blocks easier.

I just got an early B'Day present from my sister-the Olfa rotating mat. (I picked it ,she paid for it) Bought it at Hancocks Frabrics on sale -was $43 I paid $30 plus senior's 15% discount so really saved. Total cost $25. Cant wait to start using it.
