Have you tried preprinted fabric? It looks pieced when it is hand quilted.

Wish we were closer! Love to make tops, backing and pinning; just put off quilting. Not really good at FM yet and get bored with just cross hatching or quilting in the ditch. Oh, guess it takes all of us to make the quilting world go round.

wow, wish we were neighbors, too - I love to figure out designs, pick colors, make the tops, but am not to fond of the quilting part. It takes so long to hand sew, I make a mess machine sewing! But, the upfront process pulls me back in.

Maybe you should just work on whole cloth quilts, they're very beautiful, and you can be as intricate with the quilting as you want. sharet

You sound like my youngest daughter. She just can't get the tops
made but loves to hand quilt. I told her that I would piece and she
could quilt but that hasn't happened yet. Ha! At least you can piece
but she just has trouble with sewing.
