Very neat idea!!! When I changed my bedding outfit I kept the eyelet lace bed skirt and was wondering what to do with it. I just thought about cutting it down and adding a ruffle to a quilt or something.

That is a great idea. I never even thought of bed ruffles but there is a lot of fabric in them. Keep us posted on your progress with the quilt.

I've also purchased valances and sometimes pillow shams at thrift stores. It is an especially good way to get children's colors and prints for not much money. The prints are usually small enough to be used in several different blocks. What I really need is time to sew up all my great bargains!
