beach quilter

I got a panel with enough squares for two baby quilts and coordinating fabric. Mine was sea creatures but it could be anything. used the same fabrics in different places in each. Sashing on one was border on another. Inner border on one was binding on other. Backs were same fabric, different colors. Unique but coordinated.

I made twin boys quilts using an Xs and Os pattern. Used same black & white fabric with one red and one blue accent fabric.

My MIL made my son a train quilt when he was a baby. The size is sort of a small twin. I said "is" because he will be 24 this year and still has that quilt. :-) Whatever you make I would advise not to use white or a lot of other light colors. His train quilt is probably about 70% white fabric and it shows. He used to haul that quilt everywhere.
