For those who want to know the issue of the Mag? I gave you the wrong name lol. The name of the mag is ...Quiltmaker..Jan/Feb 2010, issue 10, No. 131

The quilt is called Fandango.

It's real easy. You cut strips 1 1/4 by 10. Lay two strips together and put a 1/4 ins. seam mark at one end and a 1/2 ins. seam mark at the other and draw a line and sew on that line. The strips get shorter and shorter as you get to the end. Then you finish the other side. I have done it another way and will post it later.

I have an opinion on Jelly rolls, layer cakes and charms etc. lol. I used to buy my fabric at Hoffman's. Every now and then they would have a sale on the 5x5 squares or the others. Being good with math lol, I would just add up the square inches convert them to yards and was shocked how much one is paying per yard. Although its nice to receive a piece of an entire line, to me, it's not worth the money, as my scrap quilts are just that, scrap.

I have fun using my scraps and they cost me nothing and I have such a variety of them and my friends give me more all the time. All I have to do is cut them to what I need but isn't that the whole fun process? I don't have to have all the new fabrics lol.

Now, another time, Hoffman's must have been wanting to get rid of some 5x5 packs of fabric and the price was so ridiculous that I bought 3 packs and called all my friends who did the same. They must have made a mistake lol....These were huge packs of fabric. I still have them in a drawer and haven't used them yet as I have enough scraps to open a shop lol.....

I have been working on one of these for a while:

http://imagingermonkey.blogspot.com/...aka-quilt.html

Mine isn't a true charm quilt because I'm not worried about repeating some fabrics but it sure is scrappy!
I have almost half the blocks I need complete.

I love the effect. I can't wait to see how my fabric will make it look. I just got a bag of scraps from My friend Sandy yesterday and will be using some of those.

Default Oh my gosh I love this!

Could you please tell me the name of this pattern and which charm pack you used? Thank you.
