It is good to hear you got such a nice response. It makes it all worth it when we hear how much they love our hand crafted gifts.

A lovely and bright quilt. Don't you wonder why some people just can not say something nice about something that was done for them right off the bat. I have run into that from time to time, does it stop me from doing it again? Sometimes. Or they say it to someone else without saying much to the one who made it. People are funny for sure.

You just never know how some will react to things.I made a baby quilt for a friend of my DD, and was thanked by the young lady at the shower with not much excitement - everyone else raved about it. I rec.'d a nice thank you note in the mail and thought well I guess she liked it. DD called and told me that she had asked DD if I might want to enter the quilt in the Fall Fair 9-30-10-1. I said sure, I did and the quilt rec.'d a first place. When I returned the quilt, she asked it won anything and I said yes, the ribbon was on the quilt, she could keep it for her baby book. Her reply before seeing the ribbon, was"This quilt is so cute I just knew it would win, we just love it", and she was really excited when she saw 1st place. Now go figure - who knows what reaction one will have to a quilt. Not that everyone has to just rant and rave over one , but you hope they show some type of expression of pleasure at receiving one as a gift.
BTW I went back a looked at your quilt. I love it myself and Ian see how it would light up any room.

Sometimes you don't get the response immediately you were uhoping for - then something happens, and you find out how they really feel. I love the quilt, the colors are beautiful.

I'm so glad she thanked you properly eventually. I'm with the others, I think she was a bit emotionally swamped when you first gave it to her. Sounds like a keeper now though.
