I can definitely relate to the disappointment in a book not being as faithful to the original as expected.

I would definitely write and point out the problems. You certainly didn't get what you paid for and you may be recompensed in some way.

Barb that quilt is gorgeous...you got it just right.

I feel the Dear Jane book also has some of those issues - I feel the author did not redraw all the blocks as accurately/faithfully as she could have - (and I'm not the only one in the world that feels that way)
