No, it was so long ago I don't remember the cost--I barely remember things from last week!

They were widely available in Australia in the 1990's

I think that New Home was one of the sub brands of Janome. I have a new home serger, and it was made by Janome. that is as much as I know about New home.

I think that you are right about this.

When taking classses at an area community college in Sacramento (back when sewing was offered), the classroom had some of these. We preferred not to use those machines at all, and if that was all that was available, we used the sewing machine only. We preferred the regular sergers. I remember them being on sale at those cheapo sales, TWO IN ONE SEWING MACHINE. MAKE PROM DRESSES, SWIMWEAR, EVEN DELICATE LINGERIE. This had to have been about 1990 or so.

That's funny because my friend is looking for one! We were just talking about it the other day.
