I roll mine onto a TP roll, thread a strip of fabric/selvage thru it to make a necklace and hang it around my neck when I sew.

what a cool idea... I'm glad you found something that works for you. Maybe you could post a photo next time you have a binding loaded and a quilt on your machine... I'm a visual person. LOL

Mine goes into an empty clean Folgers coffee can that I can sit on my lap or the floor. Makes it convenient when I have to suddenly get up and answer the phone or door.

Interesting solutions. I really like the idea of making the binding with the quilt top (and storing it on a TP roll). I hate searching for the matching fabric to make the binding when I finally find the time to finish the quilt.

I use a Tupperware square container, drop my binding in and feed it through a rectangle slice I had cut in the lid, works great.

I like the Tupperware idea, but would not like to cut into my lid. I use an ice cream pail but any container would work to hold it.
I told my students to "Wear it." I threw it over their shoulder so that it slides off as it is used. Sometimes I wear mine and Jan wears hers too, but on a TP roll as a necklace.

Thanks for the ideas! I usually end up rolling over the binding with my chair, so I will definitely try one of these ideas!

I wear binding on my right arm, it feeds nicely and no tangles.
