Default Ideas on a pattern?

My sister is coming to visit. She made 9 patch quilts several years ago. She wants me to help her make a quilt "with triangles and put together on point". I probably have a gazillion books not to mention the Internet but really don't have time for that kind of hunt. Hoping someone here will have a suggestion that will shorten my search.

Here's what I could find without digging too deep.

Hope some of these are useful.

A gift/idea from me to you:

A sneaky way to make triangles that uses only squares. When the block is set on point, they stand up point down, too.

I'm including instructions for cutting the triangles for on point setting, too. Using these cutting instructions for the setting triangles will allow your blocks to "float" away from the edges of the borders and prevent losing your points.

Wow! Thimblebug and osewme, those are great links. I love making HSTs (and I do them the old way -- drawing the line diagonally). These examples give a lot of practice with getting the points right.

I say I have a thousand and one EASY ways of doing things because I'm the laziest quilter ever; anything to keep my bottom in that chair as long as I can before having to get up for some reason! These setting triangles ARE easy; you won't regret trying out this method!
