Ruth:
Thank you so much for the tote link. That's exactly what I've been looking for!!! My husband and I've decided this year for all the neices and nephews birthdays to buy them a couple books and I'd make them each a tote with their name or something on it. The first one is coming up in a couple weeks and I've been avoiding dealing with it!! Thanks

The table topper that country quilter mentioned is very easy if I can do it anyone can. It makes up so beautifully, fast and easy. I have made several as gifts and they look so elegant, I just love them, my next one is for me and I think I have just enough fabric to finish one for me. I love it. Give it a try.

Hi haven't done this before & hope it works. Love all the ideas but would like to say---Please do not put childrens names or initals on the OUTSIDE of their items. With all the bad things happening I don't think it is a good idea for just anyone to be able to call them by them and possibly have the child think they are a friend of the family.

sorry to put a damper on things but I got a chill when I read that.
Again---I can't believe there are so many talented people all on 1 site !!

Very good point, Imak! Children have a hard enough time figuring who a stranger is without someone calling them by name. Putting a label from Grammie inside of a bag or clothing to that child still makes it special for them. :-)
