Ideas For Small Gifts to Make for A Quilter

I love, love, love, pin cushions. I made a few of these cute pin cushion rings with bottle caps. Super fun. Notes: I use a hammer and a nail to start the holes in the bottle cap, then work my scissor tips in them to make them bigger and a hair tie works for the elastic.

I like small plastic boxes with lids that are secure. Walmart carries a selection of sizes. They are good for keeping pins, needles, and the mid-sized is even big enough for a small to medium-sized pair of scissors. I use one to carry my kit for hand sewing. Smallest are about $1, mid-sized about $2.50.

An extra seam ripper. That made me chuckle. I have over a dozen, all over my sewing room. I lay one down and it disappears. I don't waste time looking for it, I go to my seam ripper, snip, and scissor basket and get another one. Eventually they all show up again. Same with rotary cutters. I can't find the one I'm using I'll take another out of the basket.
