My sewing room/office is a mixture that our builder came up with. I guess never to be duplicated. It is beige, but has different hues when the sun hits it. But I like it and has a warm feeling. I don't have a lot of wall space because we had 2 large windows put in so I have great natural light. Our main living area has wood floors, but we decided that a wood floor would take a beating with the way I like to move things around.

We chose a soft vinyl flooring (light gray/blue) with a little cushion in it. My feet love it when I am standing up for cutting. It cleans up great.

We have hardwood in our kitchen and the dogs nails make marks. I'm thinking the chair scooting across hardwood in my room would be tracked with the chair rollers. Opinions?

Last year we bought a foreclosure house that had been empty. We had it completely remodeled & the whole house inside is painted a light cream color except for the big family room which has paneling. I like the cream color, it is warm, yet light. I have a daybed in my sewing room so it can be used as a spare bedroom. Would like a larger room but am glad to have a room at all. I can always use the kitchen table or one of the beds or the floor to lay out my quilts.

I have a soft lavender on my walls. Only one window that doesn't get much light. I do have carpeting in my sewing room but wish that it was something else so that it was easier to clean up.

I have like a light tan. Sorry no picture at this time. I have an area rug and tile. Unfortunately it seems that all of the rooms have something of my sewing room in them. I need a whole new area to store my stash

My sewing studio is painted a very pale aqua. My favorite color in my favorite room! The ceiling is the same, but the wood trim and cabinets are white. I have carpet and love it, since pins stick in it with the point down!

Yes, it will leave marks. That is why I put vinyl flooring in my room. As an example, I was having to use a walker in March, due to knee replacement surgery. What that did to our wood floors amazed me. Luckly we have a good coating and we have finally got rid of the marks. I love our wood floors, but I didn't think it would work well for me in my sewing room. I don't want to have to be that careful.

My room is in the basement but it has two 4X4 windows in it. Which means really deep window wells. When I look out all I see is the ugly metal from the sides of the well and gravel and weeds in the bottom :( The windows face south so I do get some light.

My walls are a light mauve and I have a wallpaper border with hummingbirds on it. The carpet is a dark brown, wish I could have bamboo flooring but that will never happen!

Right now my room is almost unusable because my daughter and her husband moved back in and every room in the house is full of their stuff!! And soon it will be baby stuff when she has her baby!
