Mine would say,"Stop staring out the window and let's get this done." I am so ready for spring and the snow to stop falling.

I would love to have My quilting machine autographed by Eleanor Burns, but then maybe not, I would be afraid it would wear off if I used it. Eleanor Burns is the reason I can make quilts. Here books are so well laid out in steps, that I could learn to do it with brain damage. If either of my machines could talk they would tell stories of sewing, then watching me frog sew, and sometimes sewing the same mistake more than once.....and way more than one story.

My machine is named Peanut and it would probably say - "that woman can curse like a sailor when her sewing isn't going right. When she runs out of the usual curse words, she makes up new ones".

Mine would say, How Stupid? I don't get to use this machine as often as I would like. I forget, I am tired and make mistakes like using the wrong plate, foot, code. So she could say, use me every day just for a little bit, I am more important than your job.

Mine would say, "Well you've come a long way babe, but you still have a long way to go to use up all of my talents, but keep going and learning."

I just love some of the things you ladies said what your little ladies would say, and to the young lady that asked why do we refer to our girls as she/her, because we all know that the 'lioness does the hunting for dinner at night.' So that means she's the worker bee.
If you had asked about a month ago all three the 401A (Duke), '38FW (V-Ann), and '51 FW(Darlene) would have said, take me to the Doctor, I'm sick. So, two our the three got a trip to the OMG's shop.
I am enjoying all of your post, enjoy National Quilting Day

I have 1 male named machine called Fritz. Big old beast! I know mine would put in a timeout on occasion for the curse words but would most likely remind me to clean & oil them before using them. Others are crying from lack of usage.

I hope my Viking 6430 would say, "I am so happy you won the eBay auction! I am having fun again and I hope all the fabric I see stacked here and there is a sign we will be spending lots of time together." The truth is that I am so happy to have a working 6430 in my sewing room again, that my cussing has been aimed at my rotary cutter on occasion -- who has become quite use to it and sometimes retaliates with a few obscene jesters of its own.

My DSM would say lately....."Ever since she brought that monster home in the basement, I feel neglected." The longarm in the basement would say, "Oh ya...you think you can sew lady? Watch this."
