I'll cheer for you, because I understand your problem. I'm also working on a quilt for a granddaughter, but haven't been able to do a thing on it for two months because of illness.

I think they'll love us still, late or no. Good luck!

Come on now, don't we all work better under pressure. In fact that is about the only time I work.

It is very pretty. You can do it. Think of all the people who will get to see it and ohhh and ahhh over it at the shower!

Plan on using the back up gift for the shower. Then devote the time to the quilt--that way it doesn't become a dreaded project but stays the gift of love it is!

So, I'm going to visit at the end of May. (They live in California, we live in Utah.) Last night I found out I'm invited to a baby shower while I'm there. That gives me less than 2 weeks if I want to finish in time for the shower. YIKES! I'm going to to do my best to get it done but have a backup gift just in case.

I need all the motivation I can get. Anyone want to join my cheering section. LOL
You go girl! You can do it. Just remember how "The Little Red Engine" kept saying "I think I can....I think I can.....

Think of the looks on everybody's faces at the shower when they see it, and wish that their child had a quilt handmade with all that love by THEIR mom.....and get that sewing machine humming! I want to hear you all the way in Atlanta! <wink>
