there is a yahoo group for the MC 6500 6600 they are a big help with machine problems.

Did you drop the feed dogs? Did you remember fast foot, slow hands? Was the bobbin threaded? I only ask because I too have the 6600 and had to learn the hard way! GG

DO NOT forget to oil your 6600. My wife and I both have one and we LOVE them both equally. ( You were shown how to oil it, weren't you? )

Re: birdsnest on my 201...As you all suggested I re-threaded upper and lower, re-inserted the needle and re-inserted the bobbin and she is humming along like an angel !!! Thanks again ladies.
