Go online and check the list prices. I think the 6600 lists at 1499.
Haven't heard of the 6600 being phased out ? if anything, the 6500 is probably being discontinued. The 6600 is Janome's BEST selling machine, why would they drop it ?? Unless they're going to bring the 7700 down to the 6600 price, can't imagine that happening. I'm going to check w my LQS, they're a major Janome dealer.

I agree, a good price on the 7700. I got a "repack" (used a few times for demo purposes)for $2500, and they threw in the optional table for free. I was told the value of the table is $500. This was at the end of August. The prices for the other 2 are close to what I was quoted as well.

Please let me know what you find out - I don't want to have to rush into a decision as to whether to buy a 6600, which I'm hoping is in my future!

They were selling the 7700 for $1999 at the Madison show. As far as I could tell they were new in the box. I paid $2199 a year a ago for my 7700, but they threw in the rolling tote and a few other things.

I just brought the 7700 for $2300.00 and love it. Can't say about the others Janome is getting new models in this month, because I have gotten e-mails about them. This will be my last big purchase in the sewing venue, that is for sure. :D

$2199 a year ago is a great price - at the Houston show here last October, they wouldn't budge from $2799 - w/ rolling tote and threads as I remember

It is funny how dealers tell you "stuff" I was told the table was a $300.00 value and it was extra if I wanted it. But I got mine for $2300.00 Wish they would be all the same in priceing.

Agree, I've heard of so many different prices from dealers and sales at shows, it really makes you wonder why there's such a difference ?? It just seems to be one big shell game !
