It would have to be someone with a tractor trailor to haul it. And then stash it somewhere until they opened it. And when they opened it they had the surprise of their life to see if full of sewing machines.

Honestly, most people don't understand how a sewing machine can cost as much as a used car. Or more then a big screen TV. "It's just a sewing machine" I've heard numerous times before I stopped mentioning how much mine cost-when I was asked by close friends.

[quote=Jingle]Economy good or bad is no excuse for theives, they are around when the economy is booming also. Makes me wonder what the excuse is then. Honest people don't steal!!![/quote

I told my kids simply " If it ain't yours don't touch it!"

I made my daughter take back a candy bar and give it to the manager. She was a really cutey when she was small and he was going to do the" oh its nothing!" cause she was crying. I was standing behind her scowling at him shaking my head.He played along with me but I thought he was going to cry. lol She was only 3 but she remembers that to this day.

Now with my son it was buttons. LOL And the same thing didn't faze him on little bit.

Stealing food to feed your kids is one thing still wrong but I can at least understand it. But stealing sewing machines. Nope that's just greed.

How sad. I hope they find the thieves and sew them all together!

I have just had to delete comments from this topic that ranged from hysterical to borderline profane to outright slanderous.

    Stick to the facts.

    Machines have been reported stolen.
Serial numbers are available at a website.
    http://content.janome.com/index.cfm/...heNews?NID=268

If you want to express sympathy for Janome and/or your hope the machines are recovered, that's fine.

If you find and would like to share a confirmed report that the machines have been recovered, that's fine.

Nothing else is appropriate to this topic.
