    As I am reading this thread I am thinking the same thing...why is the batting being cut into 2" strips....I would do it the same way as QuiltE suggests...you could even put the strips on diagonally as someone else suggested for a different kind of look.

    Well, what a novel idea. I can't wait to hear how it turned out. Guess this is a lesson for us to keep at least one quilt that you would be willing to give a way if it was needed. As soon as I make one, I give it away or use it. I am going to put one back this year.
