I have made 3 sets of placemats using this design/pattern. While I am not a huge Judy Niemeyer fan, I did like making these, and they all turned out nicely!

Paper piecing is not that hard to do and I think this pattern would be a good start. QuiltingNan love the yellow place mats you shared and I am not a yellow person.
